I think the first guy has been banned. There was a second one running around but they soon dissappeared aswell. So nice work Anet.

Not having problems with GW, but yeah, I had some problems with Guru earlier. Database error for a good 10 minutes or so.

Yeah, I think the guy has left. My alliance and I just finished an AB (We won, actually) and no one crashed.

My speculation is that the hacker guy is in Europe, but it's just a guess.

I got the "out of memory" error for the first time during this weekend's event (been playing since day 0) and have since gotten it three times further. 3 of 4 were while I was afking in the 9 rings, and the latest one (yesterday) was while afking in Lutgardis.

this weekend was also the first time I'd gotten this error, also while afking.

So, perhaps the guy just learned of an error in the update or something and is taking advantage of it?

I'm in no way knowledgeable about coding etc so I'm really just taking a shot in the dark with that statement.

Hopefully all gets resolved and it's nice to see that Gaile/Anet are on top of things.

this is more of an application crash (angry red X pop-up with windows-style error message, along with locked-up game) than a disconnect

edit: and my ArenaNet.log file has not been edited since september, so nothing new there

got a weird crash in AB a while ago, even the send Anet a report function crashed when I tried to use it
normally I'd just say "dang my computer's a pos" in this situation, but the report feature breaking makes me think a hacker may be involved, could just be a coincidence though.
